| PERDIKA'S FESTIVAL AGIOS SOZON The biggest festival in the village of Perdika takes place on September 7 each year in honour of the church of Agios Sozon. The original church, built in 1904, was destroyed in 1943. The foundations of the present church were laid after the war in 1947. The festivities start in the evening of the 6th when the tiny streets are packed with market stalls. Slowly the crowd moves in the direction of the church where devotees kiss the icons for their blessings. It is well worth a visit to experience a real Greek traditional festivity. |

AEGINA'S SECOND FISTIKI FESTIVAL The 2nd Aegina Fistiki Festival - will take place September 16th - 19th 2010. The purpose of the festival is to promote the Fistikia/ the pistachio nuts of Aegina island – internationally renowned as one of the world’s best. The festival, is organised by the Municipality of Aegina, and intends to be established as an annual festival at the end of the pistachio harvesting period. Like last year there will be lots of creative events organised: exhibitions, markets, live music concerts, theatre, kids activities, restaurants serving special food having pistachio as ingredients, culinary contests etc etc. Don't miss it! |

NEW HIPPOCAMPUS WEBSITE ONLINE This winter we officially received our second star for the hotel. We thought it would be a good idea to celebrate that by putting our website in a new design.
